Seit drei Tagen bin ich zurück aus dem Urlaub - und jetzt schon verrückt vor Sehnsucht nach Lanzarote! Eine ganz große Liebe ist das zwischen mir und Lanzarote geworden - zwar keine auf den ersten Blick, dafür aber eine umso leidenschaftlichere. Warum es ein bißchen gedauert hat mit dem Verlieben? Weil sie schlichtweg anders als alle anderen Urlaubsziele ist! Auf den ersten Blick wirkt Lanzarote sehr karg, wüstenähnlich und überall stehen diese ganzen merkwürdig anmutenden Maulwurfshügel aka Vulkanberge. Beim Anflug wirkt die Landschaft wie ein anderer Planet - strange und mondähnlich irgendwie. Das das allerdings so gar nicht stimmt, bemerkt man schnell wenn man sich genauer umsieht. Palmen, Kakteen, Blumen in einer unglaublichen Vielfalt und ganz bezaubernd schön. Wusstet ihr, dass es über 1000 verschiedene Kakteenarten gibt? Spätestens bei unseren verschiedenen Strandausflügen hat Lanzarote mich dann gepackt: Klares, türkisfarbenes Wasser, lange Strände und ein unfassbar schönes Farbspiel. Die Insel fährt nämlich in jeder Hinsicht Kontrastprogramm: Schwarze Felsen erheben sich über weißen Sand und dem allerblausten Meer, grüne Kakteen und Palmen wachsen vor den weißen Häusern - der Wind ist stark aber (dank der nahen Sahara) warm und die Mittagstemperaturen steigen mittags auf 30°C, abends sinken sie dann schnell wieder auf schlaffreundliche Höhe. Ich habe die Tage also rundherum genossen und weiß jetzt schon, dass ich wiederkommen werde! Lanzarote gibt einem ständig das Gefühl, in einer Wüstenoase mit äußerst freundlichen Bewohnern gestrandet zu sein. Und das ergibt einen herrlichen Urlaub. Three days ago, I came back from my vacation - and I'm already missing this island so much! It has become a big love story between me and Lanzarote, none at first sight, but a totally passionate one. The reasons, why it took me a little while to fell for the island? At first sight, Lanzarote appears to be a bleak, looking somehow like a desert and what about all these strange hills? That it's definitiely not like that, you quickly realize when driving around and keep your eyes open. Palms, cacti, flowers in a huge variety and truly beautiful. Did you know that there are over thousand different kinds of yy? And Lanzarote finally got me, when we went to all these lovely beaches with clear, turquoise water. For me, Lanzarote is an island of contrasts: Black rocks, white sand and green plants in front of such cute white houses - at noon you'll get a really summerly temperature with lots of wind, which quickly falls in the evening. All the time, I had the feeling of being stranded in an oasis with loads of friendly desert dwellers - which was the perfect travel feeling!
