Travel: Lanzarote diary II

Aaaaaw, I'm definitely getting kind of blue, while looking at these pictures and it feels like this gorgeous vacation is dated back for months! Everyday life got me back, but at least I've got my little platform here, where I can share my memories and entrust this fantastic island to you as your next travel destination!

Facts about Lanzarote

// Lanzarote is the island of ladybugs. I don't what's going on there, but they were everywhere, like a lovely invasion.

Lecker! // The national dish is called papas arrugadas, which means 'wrinkled potatoes'. They're cooked in seawater and taste so amazing with typical canarian mojo-sauces.

// You're looking for a vacation without any rainy days? I guess, Lanzarote is perfect for you, there's an average of 30 annual rain days.

4. Lanzarote lebt größtenteils vom Tourismus, was man in den touristischen Orten deutlich bemerkt. // Lanzarote is dependent on tourism. I really wanted to improve my spanish there but definitely had no chance - the people there always answered in english or german.

// The island's vegetation is dominated by palm trees and cacti. You don't find any vegetables or fruits there and this is why all the groceries are imported of the neighboring islands.

// You can still feel the subterranean heat of the vulcano Timanfaya - and it's enough to inflame a hay bale.
